Abstract: 10-year-old pot cultured Fuji apple trees were used as materials to study the effect of soil cadmium content on leaf and fruit cadmium content in apple. The results showed that: There was a significant positive correlation between the cadmium content of fruit and soil in different growth period. Leaf cadmium content increased with the time of soil treatmented by cadmium went on during the leaf growth, and it reached the peak value at the period of fruit slow growing period(23th,Sep), and then declined. Soil cadmium content had a significant influence to fruit cadmium content in fruit maturing. According to the fruit and soil cadmium contents with different cadmium treatment in fruit autumn to estimate that the threshold cadmium content of soil for producting pollution free apple in brown soil(pH 7.133) was 2.59 mg·kg-1.
