Abstract: During low temperature and weak light stress , Fv/ Fm and ФPSII in Rumex leaves were higher than that in cucumber leaves. Content of saturated fatty acids of PGin Rumex leaves decreased under low temperature and weak light , which is benefited to enhance membrane stability under low temperature. Trans-3-16∶1 in Rumex leaves decreased less than in cucumber under stress , indicating the slight degradation of LHCII oligmer. This might be important for Rumex to maintain higher photochemical activity under low temperature
