A New Hippeastrum Cultivar‘Zhong Ke Xiang Fei’

Abstract: ‘Zhong Ke Xiang Fei’is a new cultivar of Hippeastrum developed by tissue culture of a superior individual crossed from two excellent strains of female parent H. reticulatum and male parent H. ‘Blossom Peacock’. The average plant height of the cultivar is 21.5 cm and crown diameter is 51.3 cm. The green flower stalk is erect,its average length is 48.2 cm with 3.9 white flowers with red marking and fragrance. The single flower has 19.0 petals,and 15.5 cm in average diameter. The flower opens at nearly right angle. The full-blossom of a inflorescence is 14.0 d and the lifetime of a single flower is 7.0 d
