Abstract: ‘Yutianmi’is a new melon hybrid cultivar. The fruit is long and oval with an average weight of 1 200–1 500 g. The pericarp is yellow with bright and clean surface. The flesh is white with the thickness of approximately 3.3 cm and central soluble solids content of 16.1%. The fruit has high edible rate，and the flesh is crisp and soft with rich aroma. The cultivar has a characteristic of mid-early maturity. The whole growth period is 82–115 d，and the fruit developing period is 35–40 d. The yield ranges from 38 000 to 43 000 kg • hm-2. It is comparatively tolerant to low temperature and storage and transportation. The cultivar is suitable for protected cultivation in spring and autumn in Huang-huai and Yangtze River basins.
