Abstract: ‘Huashuo 1’is a new strawberry cultivar derived from a cross between‘Benihoppe’（female parent）and‘Albion’（male parent）. The fruit is long conical，and the skin is red with bright luster. The flesh is red with pleasant aroma. The average weight of the fruit on the first-order is 36.7 g，the weight of the largest fruit is 71.9 g. The fruit tastes sweet and sour. The contents of soluble solids，total sugar and titratable acid are 11.9%，8.09% and 0.51%，respectively. The fruit firmness is 1.02 kg • cm-2. The fruit is fairly resistant to storage and transport. In Zhengzhou of Henan，the planting time is in early September. In greenhouse or plastic tunnel，initial ripening of fruit is in mid-to-late December. This cultivar is suitable for forcing cultivation in most areas of China.
