A New Cold-resistant Crispy Pear Cultivar‘Yucuixiang’

Abstract: ‘Yucuixiang’is a new cold resistant crispy pear cultivar bred by crossing‘Nanguo’ pear as female parent and‘Jinfeng’pear as male parent. The fruit is round with an average single fruit weight of 181.1 g. The peel is yellow green without rust. The size and density of fruit spots are significantly smaller than that of‘Jinfeng’. The flesh is yellow white,crisp,fine,juicy,and the flavor is sweet and sour. The hardness is 127.0 N • cm-2. The soluble solids content is 13.68%,and the titratable acid content is 0.473%. In Xingcheng,Liaoning Province,the fruit matures in mid-September. The fruit growth period is 139 d. It has strong cold resistance,high resistance to scab,high yield(45 255 kg • hm-2)and excellent quality.
