Abstract: ‘Zhongping Youlei’is a new mid-ripening apple cultivar derived from the cross between‘Jinhong’and‘Pingyou 1’. The fruit shape is oblate. The average fruit weight is about 81 g. The fruit ground color is yellowish-green and the skin is in bright dark red color. The fruit surface is smooth with small dots. The flesh is in light yellow color，loose and crispy. The fruit has sour-sweet flavor and good eating quality. The firmness is 9.4 kg • cm-2，and the soluble solids content is about 14.0%，the titratable acid content is 0.22%. The fruit development period is about 125 d. It ripens in early September in Xingcheng，Liaoning. The yield is 23 000 kg • hm-2.
