A New Hybrid Cymbidium Cultivar‘Fuyun Hongxia’

Abstract: ‘Fuyun Hongxia’is a new hybrid Cymbidium cultivar selected from F1 of female parent Cymbidium hybridum‘Kenny’and male parent Cymbidium sinense‘Pacific Ocean’. The pedicel is sub-erect,higher than leaves,54.5–65.0 cm long,with 14–22 flowers. The flower is fragrant with the diameter of 3.4–3.8 cm. The sepals and petals are purplish red with dark red stripes,completely incurved,and sepals length is 4.1–4.6 cm. The lobe of labellum is white with red sparkle and dark red speckle,3.2–3.3 cm in vertical diameter. The flowering period is early February to late March. This cultivar has wide adaptability,good flowering and high ornamental value.
