A New Fresh–Dried Edible Chinese Jujube Cultivar‘Hanfeizi’with Big Fruit

Abstract: A new early ripening fresh–dried edible jujube cultivar‘Hanfeizi’with big fruit was selected in Laoling County,Shandong Province. The fruit shape is round,and the flesh is soft,sweet,juice. The average fruit weight,soluble solids content,total acid content,vitamin C content,edible rate,and drying rate are 22.9 g,33.9%,5.15 mg • g-1,3.12 mg • g-1,96.1%,and 61.3%,respectively.‘Hanfeizi’has a good ability of crack resistance,and the cracking rate is only 0.5%. In Laoling County,Shandong Province,the fruit ripens completely in late August,and the growth period is about 75–85 d. The average yield is 15 438 kg • hm-2 in the 6th year after grafting on the 10-year-old‘Jinsi Xiaozao’.
