Abstract: ‘M1003’is a new early-medium ripening thick-skinned melon hybrid. It has strong growth vigor. The whole growth period is 89.3 d，and fruit developing period is 34.1 d. The fruit is oval，and the pericarp is milky white，the pulp is milky white，the flesh is crisp，the taste is sweet and sour，with milk flavor. The fruit weight is 1.20 kg，the peel thickness is 0.50 cm and the pulp thickness is 2.31 cm. The central soluble solids content is 16.8%. Medium resistance to powdery mildew，moderate resistance to downy mildew. This cultivar is suitable for protected cultivation in spring and fall in Hubei Province.
