Abstract: ‘Zhongnong Hantao 2’is a new mid-early maturing and cold resistant peach cultivar，derived from the cross of‘Xiongyue Jutao’and‘Okubo’. Moderate growth potential，tree posture is extremely open. The fruit period is about 90 days. The fruit is round，the top is a little prominent，free stone，with average weight about 203.5 g. The flesh tastes extremely sour，with the soluble soilds content 9.5% and titratable acid content 0.78%. The rosy juice is stable with the juice yield is 69.5%. The new cultivar has the character of early bearing and stable harvesting，and its yield is 33 t ? hm-2 in the fourth year of engraftment. The new cultivar is not anti-waterlogging or tolerant for saline-alkaline，resistant to gummosis and scab. Additionally，it is suitable for cultivation in Huludao and the south with the high cold resistance. It is important to prevent and cure brown spot perforation.
