Abstract:

‘Hongfu’is a new cultivar selected and bred from the natural variant plants of Luculia pinceana. The cultivar is perennial evergreen shrub with spreading plant type and its plant height can reach 2–3 m. Its leathery leaf is elliptic in shape with leaf index 2.6. The inflorescence type is cyme and the flower type is short-style. The reddish brown sepal is half-spreading in shape at anthesis and its abaxial surface is glabrous. The corolla tube is（3.23 ± 0.35）cm in length. The corolla diameter is（3.86 ± 0.28）cm with deep purplish pink in color. There are flake attachments between corolla lobes. The cultivar has great ornamental value，which can be widely planted for domestic decoration and landscape designment.
