Abstract:

‘Miaoxiang 3’is a new strawberry（Fragaria × ananassa）from the cross of‘Hada’（male parent）and‘Akihime’（female parent）. The fruit is cone-shaped. The average first order fruit weight is 40.1 g，the average of all fruit is 30.8 g and the maximum is 78.5 g. The fruit is flat and smooth and has bright red surface. The fruit soluble solids，sugar and acid ratio，vitamin C，fruit hardness is 9.8%，11.2，0.70 mg · g^-1，and 0.56 kg · cm^-2，respectively. In the Southeastern region of Shandong Province，it is planted in early September and the fruit began to mature in late December，and into full bearing period in early January the following year under forcing cultivation. It is suitable planted in forcing cultivation in Northern and Southern in China.
