Abstract:

‘Chunsi 2’is a luffa hybrid. It is early maturing，fruiting on the main vine with the first female flower on the 7.8 joint position. It has 9 female flowers among the ten joint position of the main vine in average. The fruit is long stick type，uniform in diameter，with 30–40 cm in length and 3–4 cm in diameter，meanwhile it has green peel，short stem，green flesh，soft taste，and the soluble solids reaches 4.3%. The weight of single fruit is about 200 g. It have moderate resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew. The yield reaches 59 548.5 kg · hm-2. Above all，the luffa‘Chunsi 2’can be suitable cultivated in Zhejiang Province and surrounding areas.
