Abstract:

‘Dongjiao 1’is a new banana cultivar which selected from the population of Brazil Banana that have undergone bud mutation. The plant is high and thick. It can grow luxuriantly and have 41 leaves or so. The average height and thickness of its pseudostem are 261.5 cm and 55.4 cm respectively. Its long and cylindrical bunch can weigh up to 24.1 kg with a fruit of 21.6 cm long. The pulp is yellowish white and taste smooth and fragrantly sweet，with 18.8% of soluble solids. It has a total growth period of about 405 days and a yield of 42.32 t · hm-2. It has high yield and good quality，with a lower incidence of Fusarium wilt in the field. It is suitable for cultivating in the tropical and south subtropical areas where there is a low chance of Fusarium wilt occurrence.
