Abstract: ‘Hongyun’is a new cultivar which is derived from the cross between Sinocalycanthus chinensis and Calycanthus floridus with artificial hybridization technique and selection. The intergeneric hybrid combines parents excellent characters，performing the pattern partially like the female parent，with tepals 2 rounds of spiral arrangement and larger flower size，while the colour as red and bright as the male parent.
