Abstract: ‘Chengxiang Gongzhu’ is an orange cultivar bred from the seedling populations of orange Salvia splendens，which grown in the farmhouse of Sanhe City，Hebei Province．The color of its calyx and corolla is orange，the plant height is 75–85 cm and the inflorescence length is 25–29 cm．The number of
flower wheel is 17–19，the distance between wheels is 1.4–1.6 cm and 6 flowers each round. There are at most 114 flowers on single inflorescence and more than 35 inflorescences on the whole plant．Compared with the original species，the variety has high flower cover and ornamental value. It is highly resistant to the stress，epidemic disease and mosaic．It is suitable for cultivation in the region of Beijing.
