Abstract: ‘Liyun 1’is a new kidney bean cultivar which was selected from the hybrids of ‘Honghua Heizi’בBlack Pearl’. It has excellent characteristics such as early-maturing，light green skin，un-fibrosis，glutinous. The pod is 17.2 cm long，1.1 cm wide，0.9 cm thick. The pod contains crude fiber 0.9%，crude protein 1.35%，vitamin C 187 mg • kg-1，soluble solids 7.50%. The yield is about 24 995.7 kg • hm-2. It is tolerant to high temperature and drought.
