Abstract: Pyrus pyrifolia‘Jintong’，a new mid-ripening sand pear with red peel，was derived from a cross between‘Jinshui 2’בDalihuoba’. The tree has moderate growth and spreading habit. The fruit are round，the average fruit weight is 251 g. The ground color of fruit skin is yellow green and covered by nacarat. Its flesh is white，crisp，juicy，sour-sweet. The soluble solids content is 12.1%–13.2%. The fruit quality is excellent. The fruit growth period is 140 d and it matures in mid-late August in Wuhan.
