Abstract: ‘Jingqiu 5’is a new mid-late Chinese cabbage F1 hybrid developed by crossing self-incompatible line 14-995 with 14-1165. Its plant type is semi-erect，the plant is about 43 cm in height and 67 cm in width with dark green outer-leaves and green petiole. Its head is of cylindrical shape and flat-topped with about 32 cm in height and 19 cm in diameter. The average head weight is about 4.3 kg，and the yield is about 80 t • hm-2. It’s resistance to TuMV，downy mildew and soft mildew. It takes 75–80 d from sowing to harvest. It is suitable to be planted in the plain of north China in autumn.
